Residents, shoppers and visitors will be able to relax, sit down and catch up with friends in the refreshed parklet. located on Knowle High Street. The stunning Valentine’s themed display has been created by staff and residents of Eastcote Park Retirement Village & Care Home, who have taken on the project of looking after the planting on behalf of Visit Knowle.
Visit Knowle installed the parklet last summer as part of their drive to ensure Knowle continues to be a place our residents and businesses are proud of.
Nick Lyons, Visit Knowle Director said “We’re delighted that we’ve partnered with Eastcote Retirement Village to refresh the planting and maintain the parklet to keep it looking at its absolute best. We are blown away with their first Valentines theme and we look forward to seeing the creativity of the team over the season. The Eastcote volunteer gardeners will regularly be on the High Street, so be sure to say hello if you see them”.
Debra Wyatt and Ben Dalgetty, the Resident Service Advisors at Eastcote Park Retirement Village said, “We are delighted to be able to maintain and sponsor the planting in the Parklet in Knowle. Our Residents loved making all the Valentine items and loved digging and planting the new shrubs. We are going to be doing a topical theme most months and already have some great ideas from our Residents. It will be fantastic to see the people of Knowle sitting in the Parklet and enjoying the Flowers and Plants.
