Meet our Directors

Visit Knowle is a business led not for profit organisation, formed by a group of volunteers from businesses, community groups and residents; led by a team of volunteer Directors. Meet our Directors…

Dave Pinwell is one of our founding Directors and is passionate about Knowle. Dave was one of the pair of initiators who called the first Visit Knowle meeting in May 2019 bringing together businesses, residents and community groups who wanted to support our village.

Having first moved to Knowle in 1983, Dave has been involved in the community of Knowle in many ways, in particular through being an active Trustee of the Knowle Society since 2005. He was also very involved in the process of establishing the KDBH Neighbourhood Forum and, since May of last year, is now one of Knowle’s local Ward Councillors.

Dave is a firm believer in a strong local micro-economy and the importance of having a strong commercial centre at the heart of a community and in the need for residents and businesses to be active in making where we live and trade a place to be proud of.

Chris Gregory runs Heartflood Ltd, a company based in Knowle which offers professional place management advice and support to clients across the UK.

As a founding Director of Visit Knowle Chris has helped form the four teams that work on a number of projects as well as supporting them on specific initiatives. Chris has lived in Knowle for 15 years and is a member of Copt Heath Golf Club.

Nick Lyons joined our team of Directors in 2021. Nick is a director of one of Knowle’s oldest businesses, Eric Lyons, an artisan family butchers offering the finest meats, home made pies, pastries, ready made meals and a takeaway deli.

Nick has lived in Knowle all of his life and has many connections to the village. Outside of work, Nick loves playing cricket and has long been involved in Knowle Village Cricket Club.

Nick is a passionate advocate for Knowle and its businesses.

Neil Endley founded his business Bridge Group based in Knowle offering expertly tailored solutions to solve complex operational and business management challenges globally including Europe, Americas, Asia and the Russian Federation. The business was successfully grown and sold to Trigo Group, a global entity employing over 10,000 people. Neil now works for the group as Global Lead for Turnaround Services.

Neil has lived in Knowle for many years and strongly supports ensuring our village is a flourishing place to live, work and visit. He has been a voluntary school governor as well as supporting other local initiatives. Focused on business and operational excellence Neil is keen to support positive change within Knowle to ensure Knowle is a place that people want to reside and visit, attracts future investment and ultimately ensuring businesses can thrive.

As owner of Achill Spa, Mary Liszewski welcomes guests to Achill House on Hampton Road for breakfasts, afternoon tea, treatments & overnight accommodation.

Mary’s family have been based in Knowle for many years and Mary is firmly involved in the community from volunteering with the British Legion and MS Society to volunteering to help with community events.

Although only recently becoming a Visit Knowle director, she has been an active member of the Visit Knowle events team for the last two years.

Salon director Lucy Keay has worked locally for the past 13 years and set up The Boutique (in the Corn Exchange) 6 years ago. The Boutique offers a range of hair and beauty treatments, specialising in advanced colouring techniques and anti-ageing facials.

Lucy grew up locally, went to Arden school and is a firm supporter of Knowle. Although only recently becoming a Visit Knowle director, she has been on the Visit Knowle marketing team for the last two years. In her spare time, and over Lockdown, Lucy launched Howela, a children’s-wear online boutique. We don’t quite know when she finds time to put her feet up.
