Five independent businesses based in Knowle have been shortlisted for an award at Solihull Chambers 2023 Awards evening, with one amazing business shortlisted for two! We’ll find out who’s won each category on the 20th October, but in the meantime, here’s a summary of who’s shortlisted for which category.
Nominated for Solihull’s Award for Excellence in Customer Services, Belle Diva is a chic boutique offering stylish and glamorous clothes and accessories. Alongside a personal, attentive and friendly service. Found in Brisker Court just off Knowle High Street you are always sure of a warm welcome.
Achill Spa is a family run guest house where guests staying overnight enjoy a warm welcome, a beautifully appointed room, and a choice breakfast.
Nominated for Solihull’s Award for Excellence in Hospitality and Retail, Achill Spa is so much more than a guest house. Mary and her team regularly welcome guests who want to visit with friends during the day to relax in the outdoor space over food and drinks, or to enjoy treatments at the spa. It’s simply a charming haven of relaxation and rejuvenation. Visitors arrive a stranger but leave a friend.
Pioneer Talent recently moved into Priest House on Knowle High Street. Nominated for Excellence in Customer Services, Pioneer Talent is an executive search and selection recruitment firm that specialises in senior hires for our clients in the Social Care & Healthcare sector.
Monica’s Bakes has gone from strength to strength since opening in 2022, as reflected in the business being shortlisted for both Excellence in Hospitality & Retail and Outstanding Start-Up, Enterprise and Entepreneurship. Found on Station Road, Monica’s Bakes offer delicious cakes to take away, along with bagels, sweet pastries, cruffins, milkshakes, smoothies, ice cream and more – all to take away. Celebration cakes can be made to order.

Visit Knowle was formed to promote Knowle as a place to shop, eat, spend time and do business. Packed full of independent businesses, with listed buildings and set within beautiful countryside, it’s an honour to showcase what Knowle has to offer.
This year saw us inviting people promoting shopping local at Christmas, our fabulous, Coronation celebrations, an artisan market, and the knitted hanging basket campaign.
